Wait, Oak Island has a bona fide record store, too? Oak Island, NC is a beautiful and special place, and local stores like Crossroads offering Big Love Vinyl are an important part of the charm and uniqueness of this community. I love record stores, and I've gone out of my way when in Wilmington or on vacations to visit many of them.... some good, some not so much. This one really stands out as a terrific place with a well-curated selection of vinyls and other treasures throughout the store. Flipping through the records is a throwback in the best sense of the word. If you are anywhere in the area and you love music and want to find something special, you have to set aside at least an hour or two to visit Crossroads and check out Big Love Vinyl!! - 4/20/2023 

When I'm in this record store, I lose all track of time, like when you were a teen listening to the Dark Side of the moon synced up with the Wizard of Oz while on shro... wait I'm off track. Basically, I simply become immersed in the experience of flipping through classic and new vinyls dreaming of past life experiences. At least those I can remember and this music helps reflect on the joys in my life. They have this wonderful classic record player that I can only assume they took from someone's grandma's house because it's so big I didn't even know things like this still existed. It allows you to just put the needle to the vinyl and fall deeply in to flash backs of.... There I go again getting off track...basically being there is just a good time listening to great music, having some excellent Victory coffee and talking to Doug who truly loves good music. He is the total package of knowledge, random information and comedy you'll need. Even the pointless stuff you never thought you needed to know about your favorite band. If you love music, have something particular you're looking for or just looking for that good head banger. Doug can help you find it. Get off your mom's couch, crawl out of that basement and venture out to the world to this amazing place. He may have one awesome online store but it's worth a trip to over the bridge to Oak Island . . . just to go the the record store! - 4/20/2023

Just got my first order—five albums, seven disks total. Not a scratch anywhere! Even on the two freebies! I have a turntable that is very sensitive to warped records and so expected at least some problems. Only one side of one disk is bad enough to need some remediation. Other than that…great! And, the two albums that had bonus inserts…the extras were there! This is great! Shipping costs were reasonable too. I highly recommend this store. The $9 pile is a bargain! Thank you! - 12/15/2022
